$20 Million dollar Infrastructure project between Correll Avenue to the north and Wieland Avenue to the south; Bloomingdale Road to the west and Rossville Avenue to the east. Construction activities involved collaboration with national Grid for EP-7 work, including relocation of private utilities at several locations; and close coordination with Con Edison, Verizon, Time Warner cable and other facility owners as well as City agencies such as the Parks Dept. DEC, SCA, DEP, NYCT and DOT. Full time community outreach services were also provided on this project. The Community construction Liaison responded to homeowner inquiries, assisted in shutdown notification and provided assistance in the coordination of work scheduled near two schools and other critical water users, between homeowners and the contractor.
Construction of: STORM SEWERS 7500 LF, SANITARY SEWERS 14000 LF, WATER MAINS 1650 LF
Work involved the installation of:
3’-6”W x 34”H single barrel FTRC storm sewers, 53” W x 34”H RCP storm sewers, 45” W x 29”H RCP storm sewers, 38” W x 24”H RCP storm sewers, 30”W x 19”H RCP storm sewers, 24” RCP storm sewers, 12”, 15” and 18” ESVP storm sewers, Installation of 52 catch basins and 12” DIP catch basin connections. Construction of four (4) new storm water chambers. Construction of 10”, 15” and 18” ESVP Sanitary Sewers, including house connections. Construction of 10” ESVP Sanitary Sewer in jacked 30” sleeve (MICRO TUNNELING). Re-construction of 8” & 12” low-pressure water mains in different lane, including hydrants. Construction of 48 new pedestrian ramps and restoration of all streets.
